sauce review, "Brain Strain hot sauce"

(Teaspoon test )

Aroma:
Sweet 7 pods and hints of vinegar...very rich scent. Makes me want to use it as cologne.

Taste:
7 pod fruitiness followed by a sweet salty tang. Salted fresh pods.

Heat:
Instant sharp central tongue burn, moving to the back of the throat. For me it was about equal to munching on a fresh yellow scorp, with a longer lasting burn.
Hottest natural sauce I've had, including Skobiyan(from 2010). Just a few notches short of straight super hot purees.

For me texture is perfect , slightly chunky with just enough liquid to keep it moving. With only a few seeds that were slightly hard.
So far, its a favorite breakfast sauce. Made an excellent Portobello and Gorgonzola omelet using it this morning.
1/3 of a bottle in a week :high:
Heck of a sauce Cappy. Definitely one I recommend and will jump on again.

I love this sauce Cappy. I've been testing my new camera to get a feel for the video recording capabilities it has. Soon I will have a video posted reviewing Brain Strain. Until then I'd like to showcase my new shirt. :hell:

Really great shirt David! Make sure to send me a long sleeve if you decide to make more.

@Peter Thank you so much for the glowing review and feedback on the way your using the BrAiN sTrAiN hot sauce! You review is right on and couldn't have said it any better myself. Liquid 7 Pod from a bottle, enjoy I have more peppers fermenting ATM with another hot sauce in late Feb.

@Novacastrian, How's your bottle holding up?

Thank you everybody who has commented in this thread and given reviews. Mucho appreciado!

quick queston Cappy. What is the difference between a Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the 7 Pod Brain Strain?? Are these the same or is there a cross happening somewhere? Thanks

This sauce has been amazing. It's the hottest sauce I've ever had but I can't stop eating it. I've had it on pizza, pasta, breakfast foods, put it on meat, put it on sandwiches and used it as a dipping sauce and eaten it straight a handful of times. I really enjoy everything about it, maybe because it's not a mainstream sauce and it feels a bit more homemade so the texture is a bit more pleasing.

Has been discussed here before but the Brain Strain is loaded with more placenta tissue and noticeably hotter. The Morouga is a "blend" of several different peppers including the Scorpion and Seven Pod. I am really liking your shirt and want one myself. Paris Hilton, "That's :hot: ".

Thank You Angelo! Enjoy reading your review and how you use the BrAiN sTrAiN hot sauce. It is a hobby sauce from planting the seeds to fermenting the peppers and making the sauce and labeling woozies I enjoy every step. Have a great day!

IMO, hands down best sauce ever!! I haven't found anything so far that it doesn't go well with, as far as food. Awesome 7 Pod Brain Strain sauce Cappy!! :onfire:

Hello. I'm just now realizing communities like this exist, this will be my first post here. I've been mostly using hot sauces based on jolokia peppers, I ordered a bottle of your sauce and it will be taking my 7 pod "virginity" if you want to call it that. If you want I'll try to give it a review, I can probably record myself tasting it. This should be a level of heat slightly higher than what I'm used to so it will be interesting, I can't wait to try it. I'm extremely against extracts, so my tolerance is based on just legit peppers.
Couldn't agree more on those extracts. No flavor, just heat. I'm also a big fan of Melindas.
Can't wait to try this one.
Thanks all,
Pepper Joe
