Savannah, Georgia question.

Anyone here live there or near there? I have a buddy that just asked for "un-touristy" things to visit in that area. Off the beaten path type of stuff.

I lived there a long time ago, but where I lived was a tourist attraction. Fort Pulaski National Park, not far from Savannah Beach. If you like historic sights, there are tons there and you mustnt skip Fort Pulaski. Well, Savannah Beach is pretty tourist-y, I imagine. I dont know about the park- it seems to me we are a different kind of tourist that prefers national parks. The Pirate House restaurant is still there, I'm told, but I am given to understand the catch of the day is no longer delivered at the dock at the kitchen door- though it is history of itself and probably still a fine place to eat.

I think Paula Dean has a restaurant there...

I can neither confirm or deny those allegations. I will confirm that I have no intentions of posting anythang having solely to do with veggies or hippies! That is....with the exception of hippy chicks!

Busted. Now post those faux-salmon tofu cakes with asparagus.
