My comment was wrong I would like to say sorry to Janie.

As for the spices:

Star anise, lemon grass, cinnomon, ginger for an asian flair is always good.
Janie,

Hot sauce and bbq sauce lats a LLONGGGG time. With that said you should be able to tweek it in many different ways. Try maybe half a cup at a time. Add mango puree into one. Add pineapple puree into another. Try plum puree. Try, oragano, cumin, chive, cilantro, onion, garlic for a more mexican taste. Try basil, thyme, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, onion, garlic for an italian taste. Five spice will make it more chinese-ish.

You have lots JUST PLAY WITH IT.

Mix a bit with mayo.

Mix some with sour cream.

Mix some with cream cheese.

Mix some with softened butter (then fridge) for infused butter.

ENJOY

Aw, Rymerpt, no worries. Considering you didn't know that you weren't talking to another guy, I didn't take offense. Just thought I'd say something since it's hard to tell my gender by looking at my username. Very kind of you to apologize though. We're good.

...as for the spices. This is exactly the kind of suggestion I was looking for. Thank you. You win for best answer!
