Scotch Bonnet list!

I would like to try every single type there is, but how am I to do that when I don't know what all is out there?

I did a Scotch Bonnet search on Bing and didn't get what I was after. I'm not talking about crosses since that would make the list much longer.

I'm aware of the following:

Ministry of Agriculture
Trenton Farmer's Market
Chocolate
Cappuccino
Papa Dreadie
Freeport Orange

and I can't think of anymore. Out of those, I've one had the first three.

Here is a list of the Bonnets I am growing this year:

MOA Yellow
Chocolate SB
P Dreadie
Freeport Orange
Saraga (best of the best imo)
Jamaican Hot Chocolate
SAFI (Not technically a SB)
Jamaican Long
Bahamian Goat
TFM
Foodarama Red
Foodarama Yellow
WHP

Send me a pm if you are interested in an sfrb

I've had Bahamian Goats and they just might be my favorite pepper. I didn't realize they were technically bonnets.

As for the SFRB, I would love to but PayPal REFUSES to let me add my OneVanilla card that I threw money on a few days ago! =(

I saw a lot of people complaining about the same thing as I spent hours getting pissed off trying to figure out why I keep getting an error.

Not certain that Goats are technically Bonnets. Close enough for me.

I'm growing:

Papa joes (very large bonnets)
foodarama
freeport orange
nebru 7
SB  cappuccino
Elysium oxide
papa dreadie
MOA yellow
and a accidental papa dreadie cross that's really  small and red. Pretty tasty. Think it was probably Inca berry as they been growing wild in that bed every year since I grew them   a few years ago.

They are far left dead center. Just under those light creme colored pods.

I'm gonna go ahead and set up a bank account and link it to PayPal (which I made my account YESTERDAY!) so I don't have to tolerate that headache. I may just be 32, but I'm still having to be dragged kicking and screaming into this day and age.

I'm not going to even try to discuss what does and does not technically quality as a Scotch Bonnet. . . Like porn and fine art, you know it when you see it--and more importantly, when you taste it.

I love the smell of a good Bonnet. Smells like being alive.

I just want to remind fools that you might see Bonnets listed as SB Foodarama and you might see Bonnets listed as SB Beth Boyd.... That are the same line; Beth Boyd found some good yella Bonnets at a Foodarama market and saved seeds. These are also some of my favorites; they have really thick, strong walls. They're probably be good to play ping pong with.

Also, consider adding the All Boatman True Form SB to your list. I got seeds for next year; stoked to try them out...

Lastly, I think it's goofy to try to think of the different lines of yella SBs as being truly distinct from eachother. The guy from Sandy Acres Farm-- the dude who has grown and sole Bonnets at the Trenton Farmers Market for years-- he got his seeds somewhere to begin with, right? And he actually had to buy new seed and start all over in 2017.... It'd be rad if he ordered TFM seeds from a vendor, but I somehow doubt that he did.

One day, I'll work up the nerve to ask him...

I made a second order of both SB types TrentL is selling on his site and they've all been yellow so far. I'm curious about how red MoA's compare to the yellows.

I feel like the TFM's taste differently than the MoA's but....maybe that's in my head? I'll have to eat one and wait the right amount of time and eat the other. I'll just be sure to down some chocolate milk about ten minutes beforehand.

Say what?  You are missing out!

I've definitely heard the same sentiment. I'm definitely looking forward to growing some to try out.

Looks like some of them have a slight bulge. I guess that's the SB influence? Sounds interesting. One of those happy accidents.

Because PayPal only accepts major credit cards - not Pre-Paid Cards?

Understandable people getting pissed off when they don't research the reason why their ignorance doesn't work... Throw $10K on a Pre-Paid card & they still won't accept it!

I also saw several people talking about how they used to do it all the time and now it doesn't work. Anyway, I already resolved that I'll just make a bank account and link that so I don't get the point of your post.

Sorry, not all the time, card must be linked to a major credit card as posted earlier. PayPal even offers it's own Paypal-Prepaid-Mastercard but only accepts a major credit card to "back it up".

Because you continue to post "people" talk about PayPal did this all the time, PayPal didn't as far as I know. I have been a PayPal user since the mid to late 90's, you were what, 10 years old then? If you can pull a URL from paypal prepaid debit card acceptance that reports PayPal accepted non-major credit card debit cards, please post it.

Perhaps they're lying? I'm just saying what I've read from doing searches while trying to troubleshoot the issue.

Go ahead and post the honest answer. "It's fun to be condescending." lol
