I have Yamaha 2.1 surround sound at the moment.(You can see them and the subwoofer in the photo.) I'm looking at a Bose setup.;)

I missed that, I guess the only thing missing now is being able to do 3D graphics

Nice one paulky cant be more then just a little jealous! Do you find the resolution and what about the same as a PC monitor?

Wouldn't mind saving up and doing the same thing. ;)

I'd say at 720p, the resolution isn't any higher.....just....BIGGER!

You would be quite surprised. The price wasn't nearly as lopsided as you'd think. I paid $317.00 including tax and shipping. Heck, a 22" monitor is nearly $250.00. It just made sense to me.....well....as much sense as it could!;)

For a computer it's not going to look very good, TVs are made for viewing from a distance. My screen res is 1280x1024 for 17". You won't see crisp details etc. at 720 or 1080 at 32". Would look okay from the couch but not at the desk. Pixely, and you may get a headache.

I'm set on 1360 x 768 and it's razor sharp at desk length. I honestly couldn't be happier with the picture.

I really got it to enjoy movies in the bedroom from my extensive library of digital movie files. My girlfriend couldn't see the 22" from the bed very well and this will solve that problem.

Overall...I'd give it a 8/10. I think a 1080p would be better.....but by how much? Plus....the huge genuine monitors are listed in the thousands of dollars.....OOF!!

Show off! Looks really nice and I'm envious because I can't afford one. :mope:

Yes...I am a bit of a show-off. :P

By the way.....it really wasn't that expensive, but as THP said...if you're looking for above 720 res (which is nothing but making the same image fit into a smaller space when we're talking computer monitors) I'd wait till the larger ones come down in price.

I've never been that patient!

GOOD Lord!!!! are you blind?? Or you just trying to share you online porn with neighbors???????WOW!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!

excellent set-up paulky...never mind the detractors, they're just jealous!
like the photo too, were you a Navy man then?

Damn swabbie's! I salute you regardless sir in honor of your service!

I like more pixels and less size for a monitor. I run 1920x1200 on a 15" LCD at home, and 1920x1200 x3 on 20" monitors here at work.

My 22" wasn't too bad...I could run stupid-high res on it. I had my trepidations about going to this monster, but now what I have....I'm quite satisfied with 1360x760 through an HDMI connection. Plus my girlfriend can see the screen from the bed. ;)
