hahahah... that explains ALOT ! Just a kid .... smart kid mind you

But BS all the same !

I really don't want to get involved in this but I thought it would just be fair to point out that you are only a couple of years older than him so you can't really call him a kid?

But maybe this BIG discussion should just be done with? You both are never going to agree and it will just keep going on.

I have a question. How do you guys ensure pure seeds from your home grown pods?
Do u guys bag the flowers or build boxes foryour plants?
Just curious?

W.A? I never said they were from W.A? I live in W.A, my family comes from Perth and Brisbane, I have friends all over Australia and the world. Come on mate, is that only defense you can come up with is that you have delt with two people from W.A, both of whom are manufacturers, so therefore I must be bullshitting you?

I have not lied about anything tonight, except maybe I bent the truth around the unlimited resource thing as all resources are limited, even solar, the Sun does have a life-span. I for instance cannot get my hands on $100 million, but for what I had in mind when reading your reply I could get my hands on more than I needed.

As for speaking to them both everyday, I sincerely feel sorry for them. Whilst you are keeping me entertained now, I do get bored of things very quick and believe you could possibly start to annoy me in the future.

As for how you feel is totally up to you. If you are feeling bad about this whole subject, then that is perhaps your own head eating away at you, and not me or the thought of me.

Your just jealous, get out of the house more !
I just got pissed off BECUASE YOU ACCUSE ME OF RIPPING OFF,
WHEN CLEARLY you can not back it up and are FULL OF IT ! And this is my livleyhood your messing with.
I dont know what your motivation is - BUT i am
UNSUBSCRIBING here and dont mind what you go on about !

ITS ALL BULL SHIT ANYWAY !

BYE !

Bit dramatic mate, its just his opinion wether he has other motives or whatever, if your product is good then it shouldn't worry you just put it behind you and prove him wrong. That would taste better than taking your ball home.
My 2 cents
cheers
Mick

Meh, I could care less. I am too tired this morning to carry this on.

This was never a personal attack, and moyboy, I would like you to read every word I wrote and point out to me where I actually attacked him, in a way that was not at least encouraging, pointing out his flaws, and providing the opportunity to better himself.

This will all be forgotten in time and I never did this to have a long term effect on him or his business, I never accussed him of anything except not playing fair by someone I like. He contradicted himself the entire time, and allowed me to post back his own quotes to him when I pointed it out.

I am not a competitor, I do not sell sauces, seeds or plants. But yes, chances are in the future I will, but even then it is not going to be my main source of income, and it will probably be only locally, which he himself stated was too hard to do because of WA's custom laws. Even then that will be years down the track which the odds will be that he will either have A), run his business into the ground or B) improved on it, do everything he said he will do and really make it.

Moyboy, I have received a lot of support for what I wrote. I did it because things needed to be said to him, and I chose to do it as one, there are no consequences for me except perhaps being banned from this site, where it is all to easy to get a new name, new ip, new email and you would be none the wiser. But this is not the path I wish to go down, I like this website and I am not here to cause trouble for any of the staff. I am not his competitor, I am not his client, I am in no way related to the industry except for winning an eating chilli competition on the weekend, the plants I grow are for my kitchen only. There are no repercussions within the industry for me to talk like this to him, yes, there is always the chance that this will follow me if ever I decide to join, but that I would believe would come back down to people blindly not reading every word I wrote and seeing themselves that I was actually very encouraging.

I believe I am quite neutral, I am lucky because I have better written english that most that I can actually write what I mean without it sounding at all emotional or as an attack. I was harsh, yes, cold ... definately ... but that is what the business world is like. You cannot let your emotions get involved with making the tough decisions, just choose a side, never question your choice and never look back.

As for accussing you of ripping people off, you provided that yourself in a statement you made in a post, I merely pointed it out. I provided the evidence and calculations to support my claims, and you fail to acknowledge them which means in this case, the discussion is forfeited by you.

People cannot publically support me, I knew this before I posted my first post. As always, people will always talk shit behind other people's back. And while I know I have people who support me, so will there be people against me for what I have posted. For the people against me, they are probably not the people I want surrounding me in my life so I could care less. The people that are around me are the people that think along the same ideals or level as my life, hence why I keep them around me.

Out witting someone and allowing themselves the opportunity to publically humilate themselves, that is just playing smart, that is not attacking someone. I fail to see anywhere in the whole thread where I actually attacked him. I made sure at all times I was neutral, fair, and offered him a shitload of advice on where he can improve himself. If you read very carefully what I wrote you will see I was always supportive, never saying "Give up or die", but instead offering him solutions to his problems in a public forum which allowed other people to see them, "Alright, he has been told what he needs to fix, if he doesn't then we won't be doing business with him in the future."

I have no doubt that he can fix his problems, but if he fails to acknowledge he has problems then seriously, how the hell can anyone expect him to fix them? Cop it on the chin, saying alright, I got off on the wrong foot in the community/industry, I talked a lot of shit to a lot of people, for that I am sorry and I am going to try to fix the rifts I created. Instead of putting his head in the sand and saying "Lalala, not listening, this is nonsense bullshit, not defending myself, say what you want, lalala ..."

That attitude will only take him one way ...

Sorry I still fail to see where you are coming from, YOu dont know me or even dealt with me?. And of course I will still watch this thread. Again it is my livelihood!

Scotch Bonnet issue is sorted and I was unaware untill you voiced it.
Prices for scorpions & seeds will come down. Give me a few weeks.

Thank you for that input-

Taj, challenging someone is fine, if it is warranted and you see something fishy. It's basically a vetting process when you see an unknown retailer. Keeping it civil is the key. Lots of people question sellers, and they should, and have on this forum before, but this got a little out of hand and it seemed a bit like a vendetta, as in, you kept hammering at him when you could have left your initial questions to do the work by planting doubt or concern. The way I see it is, if the person being challenged is legit, they will win the argument just by doing good business and having testimonials. So good luck chilliman, and I hope you win, because that just means you are doing good business.

Let's move on from this, as all has been said I think.

Moving on about what I posted above.
"I have a question. How do you guys ensure pure seeds from your home grown pods?
Do u guys bag the flowers or build boxes foryour plants?
Just curious?"

I only ask as I have alotr of insect life in my growing area and I have had lots of crosses if I do not bag flowers.
I saw this really cool box of tuel that some farm puts over its tomatoe plants. it was cool.

This is your problem mate, you fail to see where I am coming from because I have no delt with you, therefore you presume that I know nothing about you because I have not delt with you, I have not delt with you because from what I have seen you do here and what numerous people have said to me. I do not listen to people at the best of times, so do not think I have listened to people talk shit about you, my own mind was made up long before anything was ever mentioned to me.

I thought your main source of income was providing a service to international people that cannot speak much english, charging obsene amounts of money for information provided freely from the Department of Immigration? Sorry, but immigration agents/lawyers do not sit very high on my list of people I admire, this is because 80% of my friends are either immigrants or international students who I always direct to the immi website before they waste money on an agent.

But I do not wish to carry this any further, so unless you wish to ask me a question, or anyone else for that matter, I will not be responding to this thread, what is said has been said, the people who needed to read it have read it, it can sink into the archives now.

I have seen it done both ways, some people cover their whole plants in this silk like material, some cover only the flowers and others build seperate greenhouses.

What I had in mind was to build a greenhouse and divide it into sections with silk screening inbetween to keep the pollination out (And have seperate doors for each section from the outside). But even then, it is wiser never to guarantee 100% safety from cross pollination or 100% germination rate, but just to tell people that adequete measures were taken to stop cross pollination.

Because the pollen could travel on my clothes, hands, even for arguments sakes in my lungs when I breathe out. Nothing is really 100% safe, but the box idea that you have seen (If it is the same one I have) is similar to the way I did it.

Mick,
We only grow ONE variety at the moment, and have no issues with cross pollination. (BHUT)
We are going to run each variety in different sealed glasshouses. - as far as contract grows are concerned
And individual simple fly screen boxes for outdoors was my thoughts though, An Idea i pinched of Neil THSC last time I was up there.
For my plot out back. But I am not really concerned as we will plant out NEW seeds each season !!!!
Not seeds from pods developed by us, unless we can guarantee no cross !

All publicity is good I suppose..... The company is 2 1/2 months old and making waves in WA ? Who would of thought (Not that i see accusation as founded). Maybe wrong reasons ? But I know as the company is finished setting up and we iron out the bugs, we will enjoy our involvement with Australian chilli community and be valued for our variety and prices !

It is becoming cut throat ! LOL

Neil is cramping alot into his and AVOIDS it by using the screens. Genius I say !
Seed supply is no issue, thats why i was going to go in that direction !

I have not considered that on large scale ? !
I suppose you could keep the mothers in there own hydro format and just harden off each cutting as it goes out.
You would have to go through ALOT of work to find the RIGHT mother though and keep up! And alot of BURN! As testing the heat is what you would have to do to insure that the HEAT in that mother is the best it could be !

Owww - I feel alot of burning rings coming on over the next few years ! LOL - just testing pods !

Hi Mick,

I have heard that tulle (wedding material) is good in either white or green. I have picked up some material from Bunnings that I'll be trying out, it says that it is insect proof, birds, animals frost, heat, hail and heavy rain. It doesn't say anything about pollen but you cant see any holes so who knows?
It is called Saxon - Plant protection cloth. I was thinking of just tying it around the flowers, not the whole plant.
Has anyone tried it for this purpose?

How would the flowers get pollinated? are they all bi-sexual flowers?
