GM - we'll all mostly be tenting it, some trailers. It'll be on the west side of the state (we live on the east side where it's hot & dry right now), and the campground's next to a river. With luck, the temps will be in the mid-70s. But that's a total crap shoot. It could be in the 80s and sunny, or 60s and raining! haha It'll be damp no matter what, but with enough booze, I won't care!!!!!

Well yeah ... I'd camp in the 70's, and be even happier in the 60's ... and I'd tolerate low 80's ... mid-nineties camping is hard to enjoy, though ...

I'll assume the river has water that's not like a hot tub, too ... which is what the Gulf feels like right now ...

You case sounds doable ... here, not so much ...

There's not enough booze to make me want to camp in the rain....

so I wouldn't camp where you are either GM!!!!

p.s. I can't tolerate sunscreen either! bleh!

FIFY (lol)

I'd love to go swimming outdoors here and not freeze my tush off just stepping into the water! Sounds like you have an extremely low tolerance for heat - wanna trade locations?

Other than that, anyone got a killer outdoor pizza idea they want to share? How about ideas to help the campers with bringing stuff along? Or any "that sounds good, but don't go there...." type of stuff?

I have a crazy idea, but I don't think I am going to get to use it. The throwdown is the weekend of Bowers and I will be there Friday and Saturday and at my brother's house for my nephew's birthday party on Sunday. Not seeing time for a TD. Maybe Sunday night, we'll see.

Not a lie. Someone I know went to some weird ass not-American country last year and ordered marijuana on his pizza.

It was a menu item.

When in Rome.
(It wasn't Rome)

Could be a little dangerous...... Take a few pavers, some bricks and build a temporary wood fired oven. Bricks for the floor, pavers for the walls and roof, start your fire and hope nothing explodes, all goes well throw your pizza in

I bought somfin at a garage sale that might work with Pillsburry.....

Long asmwe have 'lecticitie

::):

I thought I saw THP post a while back there'd be none of that. Could be wrong. Still, Pillsbury works w/charcoal and wood.....
Heh - we've managed to catch our electric (still outdoor, just a heating element) on fire a couple times this summer, last time just a few days ago. I'm thinking I can likely line the bottom with foil and slap some charcoal in there, given it's withstood the fires so far. Worst case scenario is we'll end up with yet another refill on the fire extinguisher, then I'll get a non-electric grill next year.

Take a close look inside at the coil, some are removeable for standard use. If you can remove the heating element the no damage possible and you cooking with charcoal!

Taking Bradley camping this weekend. We're gonna do beer brats---simmered in beer, then grilled, with peppers and onions on big-ass buns.....scrambled eggs with leftover peppers and onions and mushrooms----smothered in Picante sauce, bacon, and toast........bacon swiss double cheeseburgers with sauteed mushrooms and Dukes mayo.....biscuits and gravy, sausage with TONS of cracked black pepper.

Pizza is NOT on the menu.

;)
