misc Shrink Bands - What are they for?

Do you use them and, if so, why?

Is it because they "class up" your bottle? Is it to discourage and/or identify product tampering? Does it help "seal" the contents of the bottle, i.e. make it airtight?

I just started making sauces and was wondering about the importance of shrink bands.

What's your thoughts/opinions?

Hi there. It's not really an opinion, it's a fact. It's a product tampering seal. No one has opened it.

Thanks THP.

I was just curious if there was any other benefit.:)

what THP said is it, product tampering.

after that is just aethetics as to which color band looks best with the product.

If the bottle isn't sealed, the shrink band won't seal the bottle.

I have a lead on good priced shrink bands. I have to get the info, will post again soon~

Yeah they hide the sauce line and make all the bottles look uniform. You can choose the color you want. You can match or contrast the cap. That's about all for additional benefits.
