I hope to get about 140 of these transplanted this evening.

Beautiful all in one shot with some of your varieties. I'm growing a Douglah x Butch T that's ripening red and it is really a great pepper, nice aroma and covered in oil on the inside.

Is your Douglah x Scorpion Brown also a cross from a Butch T? Is the flavor improved from the Douglah in your opinion?

The garden is looking good nice and big pepper plants

Thanks, they've got room to grow a little more, but I'm afraid the rows will meet again before the season is done and 5' spacing won't be adequate.

SS no jack daniels today. Amazing work you have done over there looking like a pepper maze. How tall do your 7 pot plants normally get through the season?

The 7s average around 5 to 6 feet. Got another bottle for ya today. :D

Thanks, the Brown cross has a very strong capsaicin flavor, similar to a Douglah, but your taste buds are quickly overwhelmed by a very intense burning sensation. ;) Nope, the larger red variety.

Well, I got all of one row picked (7Pod row) and 8 plants deep into a second row before the heat demanded I quit for the day. I'll tackle it again in the morning.

WooW SS mind if I take a swim sometime in that pool it will definitely burn on the way out lol. That is just amazing I am going to pull out the kids table and a sippy cup for my harvest in comparison. Just amazing what you have over there.

Dang SS the freaking picture is even hot! Some stunning stuff buddy. With the heat and little rain I have no doubt you're growing some of the hottest pods you've ever experienced.

Wow. Steel tables. I'm sure if it was plastic it'd be on fire by now. Anyone watch duck tales as a kid. Pepper harvest looks like a pool of peppers u can just swim in. nicceee

Thanks P, picking da pods is easy, but snatching 'em during this extreme summer weather is a horse of a different color.

Dive right in, roll around and holler at the top of your lungs. Ohh, the endorphin rush!!!

Hehe, try the red pimpled brainy mutha next. It ain't as sweet, but it will surely grab your undivided attention. It'll give ya an "E" ticket ride for 15 to 20 minutes; just buckle your seat belt before dumping the next morning. ;)

==============================================================================

A leaky plumbing problem in the kitchen preempted chili pickin' yesterday, but hit the bricks again this AM.
Three rows down, one to go.

Biker Billy penos from saved seed. Looks good enough to me.

Saint Helena is a tuff little C. Annuum; never faltered in this extreme heat and continues to set pods.

Final row reaped. That closes out the flamin' month of July.
The hottest July on record since they started recording weather here in 1865.
Not lookin' forward to August!!!
