I hope to get about 140 of these transplanted this evening.

I have to jump on the "wow, amazing, incredible" bandwagon SS. This looks like a great year for you. Freaking stunning!

Absolutely amazing SS!!
Your garden is gorgeous as always!
You may have to push a few tables together this year!!

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, went with a larger table this season. :)

All of your plant look great. Like that 7 pod brown X.

Thanks, currently workin' on stabilizin' that cross.

Your plants look great. Crazy how fast your garden grows, I show everyone around me when I am looking at your glog.

Appreciate the flowers. The controlled root environment and consistent moisture level provided by the plastic mulch and drip system seems to be what my chilies like.

Very nice indeed SS :drooling: Thank you for showing us how it is done:)

Thanks, but with chilies, there's more than one way to produce a pod. :)

Unreal pod count. Do you tie up the side branches coming off the main stem. I have some of that going on with mine but that is a crazy amount.

Nope, don't ever seem to find the time to baby my plants, but should probably tie up some cause I always loose branches of pods every season. I can't really say they're missed though.

I'll join the chorus - amazing! I love the bright colors on your pods - they look beautiful. Those second aji yellows look crazy.

Thanks, they are one kinky lookin' pod.

My favorite is the Douglah X Scorpion (Brown F3), awesome to see it staying brown! Those must be hot :fireball:

Planted 7 of those crosses this season and so far 3 are the brown I'm lookin' for. Yup, they're extreme super hot scorchers.

Wow just amazing SS

Thanks man, hope I can endure the extreme record heat this season.

Wow... (In)credible amount of peppers!

Its amazing how the flowers set in that Southern heat...

Greg

I think the key to setting pods in hot weather is helping to regulate plant temp by keeping the roots cool. The mulch/drip system helps quite a bit.

Thanks P, just hope to keep up with the plants during this hot summer.

We finally started gettin' some sorely needed rain these past few days, but still well below the drought delimiter mark this season. It took 3 days to gather these pickin' between the down pours, but at least it feels a little nicer outdoors, that is if you like steamy saunas.

Harvest Friday the 13th 2012 (Double sized 4'x4' table this season.)

that is one B E A Utiful table full of peppers. your definitely doing something right.
Thanks, the chilies get most of the credit though. :)

And that is a small beginning of harvest pick isn't it?
I'm afraid so.

Congratulations, Silver_Surfer! It is so nice to see so many pods together. :P
Most of us can just dream about a harvest like this. :fireball:
Thanks, plant em and they will come. ;)

SS you are the master !!!!
Dunno bout that, but thanks for the vote of confidence. :D

Looks like your having another fantastic season Allen,
great pics of some really cool pods, keep the pics coming...
Appreciated Grant. My little grow is tiny compared to your beautiful jungles.

WOW, only in my dreams can i get a harvest like that! well done, cannot wait to watch the pod count grow and grow as you harvest more and more

That is a ridiculous amount of pods, and in freaking July at that! Your plants seem like they're thriving in that heat, amazing pod pictures as well, those douglah X scorpion browns look crazy hot. Who am I kidding, even your ajis look mean! lol. Great updates buddy, quite the inspiration for all of us.

Kinda jealous that you can grow straight in the ground outdoors, never works good here. Simply too many pest bugs and too low temperatures.

You sure got peppers skills, beautiful plants and pods :)

you truly have a knack SS...and you are in a great environment to grow them too....you always blow me away with your harvest shots...

well done my friend...

SS! I see those St. Helena's in the lower right hand corner! I have just powdered my first 30 pods. Great little annums and the powder came out a fiery golden yellow. Thanks for allowing me to share this pepper from one of the most isolated places on earth.

Thanks, just need a dose of get up and go to make another haul.

I'm in awe, that is absolutely amazing!

Thanks, know where I can obtain some trained monkeys? :D

Yeah, that cross is stupid hot. You'll be able to try it first hand soon enough.

The plants are doing much better in this heat than I.

Appreciate it, but the plants deserve 99% of the credit. We have our share of insects and pests here too. Due to the warm winter and this current hot weather the insect numbers are exploding way above normal levels this season. They wiped out my peas.

Thanks AJ, I haven't posted much lately, but when I do visit the site I always check your inspirational thread.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to grow these. They are extremely prolific and quite hot for and annum with a pleasant taste and burn.

Have come to expect nuthin less each year SS! Outstanding!!!

Thanks Alphaeon. It's nice to know I meet someone's expectations. :)

Weather has been unbearable here with the heat index hitting 105 for the last several days. I got too hot cutting grass the other day and haven't felt up to par lately and haven't been outdoors much.

The 7's are beginning to provide some shade for my Manzanos and I can tell they appreciate it.
Chilies7-26-12.jpg

These Manzanos have the most dense growth of any I've tried thus far. If only it would cool enough to allow pod set. This turned out to be a bad year for the full sun test.
ManzanoOrangeXL.jpg

A lot of pods are ready to be harvested when I regain some gumption.
7Podrow.jpg

We still haven't had enough rain to pull us out of a drought, but when it does rain it usually comes with strong winds that have damaged several plants like this 7 Pod Orange.
7PodOrangewrecked.jpg

These Biker Billy's grown from seed I saved from last year's crop appear to be a stable strain.

A few pods I grabbed for seed before the sun hit the garden this AM.

SS no jack daniels today. Amazing work you have done over there looking like a pepper maze. How tall do your 7 pot plants normally get through the season?
