When the ground almost gets dry enough to work, it rains again.

Plants are long past ready and beginning to get root bound.

More rain today. At least the SE no longer suffers from a drought.

I just saw on the news that at this time last year 57% of the corn crop had been planted by farmers; this year only 12% has been planted. Guess I'm not alone running behind schedule.

Great list SS! I love Fatalii's and have seen pics of the Fatalii Chocolate. What's the Fatalii Cream like? Is it similar in taste to the regular Fatalii?

I'm with you on the damn rain. I grow in containers so it didn't affect me as much but it still sucks

SS: am right there with ya--your plants look gorgeous as usual, but I suppose one can, "overharden"--we got 6" rain in 24 hours. With the Blackberry Winter, I demand Indian summer, ha! Gorgeous as usual, man and thanks for the suggestions; you were right and not being a fertigation purist does help . Oh, for perspective, my bro's bottom land--he walked down the road, incline, stopped 50 yards short of 4 acres bottom-land: 6 feet under water. River flooding. Whew, 6" of rain! Not under water here yet (on a hill), but more than wet enough. Damn tired of the 40's and they sure feel wrong in May. The critters are wondering where the plants are too.

No pods yet but I had a ton frozen that I'll be turning into powder. The place doing the HPLC tests is called southwest bio-labs and they only need a tablespoon of powder so I figured I can handle that :-)

Oh, I see. If I were going to do a test I'd use fresh dried pods, but still would be interesting to see the results.

Yea the water content will make a difference, that's what the guy there told me, but it's only $50 and I'm just really curious so I figured I'd just send it off. I'll probably be sending a bunch more off once I get pods and I'll send fresh dried serpents off and see the difference in results

Ya do know only one of the several Douglah x Scorp plants I grew last season was selected for saved seeds as the SS.

I'm growing one other selection too made from those plants and the selection process continues.

Yea if I remember you had 7 Douglah X Scorpion plants last year? Well I dunno if these pods came from the one you designated as serpents but it's still the same cross right? You just doing selection based on size, shape, and plant characteristics and such?
