Hey Skullbiker, are you missing the fall colors yet?
It’s cool that you can grow year around [emoji106][emoji16]
We have awesome fall colors here, green with very colorful flowers and plants.........instead of brown and dead! lol Not missing anything from the north(except for Menards and FleetFarm). Being able to grow year around is going to be awesome. AND, we just started eating the bananas off of our tree today. Cannot get them any fresher than that.[emoji106]

First Tomatoberry tomato for this grow.

The bananas are ripening very quickly now, they are practicaly picking themselves now. As they get ripe they snap off by their own weight and are left hanging by a sliver of skin.

The cucumber vines are nearly to the top of that 8 feet of cattle panel. Lots of flowers now.

Just finished picking the bananas off of one tree and now another one started to bloom.

Man, that's a bummer - the late bloomer.  I hate it when they bloom in the fall. All those months of life, to be lost to the "cold" of "winter"
.
I've just picked my last viable bunch (have been munching them the last couple of days).  I watched and waited for these guys for almost 5 months.

Will just have to see how it goes, maybe it will be one more year here with no real cold or frost. What kind of bananas do you have there with those ribs on them? Mine were exactly like the store bought ones.

These are actually plantains.  They are a variety called "Saba", and they originate in the Phillipines.  This variety gets humongous, in both height and girth.  Fun fact: they're a triploid hybrid - which sounds weird, considering that we'd refer to that in humans as Down's Syndrome.
.
I prefer to eat them ripe and sweet, not cooked.
