It used to be cause I went to work at 13. I think you have to be at least 15 now for most jobs.

If you'll go stand in the shower and let the cool water run over you for a few minutes, then dry off, lay under just a thin sheet with a fan blowing on you.......oh yes.....and a wet washcloth for your face....

That's what we do in the summer.

and I am on my 3rd bloody mary...does that count?

pretty quiet around here, but I'll post about the work thing.

SalsaNut0.5 age 11, was crying and moaning yesterday about having to help mom put labels on the salsa tubs. No Mercy from mom. I can't wait to hear what he says when he has to pick up all the dog poop ( from 2 LARGE labs!) that accumulated over the winter in the snow. LOL

For us in Washington, a kid can work in a restaurant or other "real job" at 14 with a parent authorization, but there are some restrictions as they can't use certain pieces of equipment like a slice or deep fryer. I actually stared my first job 3 weeks before I turned 14. The boss said "OK you're hired. Oh yea....how old are you?". :) That was a just over 10 years ago.............OKAY.....maybe a little over 15 years ago......

Let's see.....that makes you.......wow.....;)

"young" is a relative term, but yea, I do still consider myself "young" and hubby thinks I'm a hottie! WOOHOO >>>>> :)

EDIT- had to revisit the math-
start work at 13
a little over 15 years (=16)

13 + 16 = 29

'Nut0.5 is 11. 29-11=18

OK, that's not too bad for starting a family, but I will tell you that I was over 25 before the critter came along. ;)
