Smasehd for life

Gage Roads India Pale Ale... thought I'd give it a burl.

It's warming up a bit and doesn't taste too bad now -- but definitely something I won't be buying again.

I is back.. and we has beer.. and then i finds out mrmel was hiding beer from me!! OMG!!

lucky we didnt have to tase anyone :P

What exactly is Indian Pale Ale? Not a connoisseur here -- I just know some beers I like, and others I don't. hahaha

Now that I'm on my second bottle, it's not too bad, but completely different from all the Pilsner I been drinking lately. Hell, even Coopers Pale Ale tastes shit to me after I been on the Pilsner... and I love Coopers Green!

Pale ale is English. India pale ale is extra hoppy and higher alc. to preserve the beer on ships en route to India, from the colonization days.

I like Coopers.

I like Coopers.

The key words as to why I opted for it are hidden in there... ;)

Guess you don't want to see my nice big rock hard tallie then....?

nope.. .although even if you attempted to post it.. i'm starting to see double... another beer or three and i'll be out is my prediction for tonight!

I think I am still drunk. Again. From one bottle of beer no less! Of course it was a very large bottle with the highest alcohol content I have ever had. 20% But damn.

JayT,

The highest /strongest I ever have consumed when I used to drink, was in London . It was known as KESTREL. What is the name of the beer you had with 20% strength?

Dogfishhead Fort. I know I have said that I don't like fruit beers, but I have to be honest. This one is an ale brewed with rasberries which is where it's extremely high abv comes from. Dogfishhead for anyone who doesn't know them is a terrific Craft brewery in Delaware.

Hey, I spotted a raspberry beer the other day with quite a high alcohol content... don't remember the exact figure or the name of it, but I do remember the pricetag made me think twice about my selection.........
