CCN tomato starts were worse. Out of 6 only 2 looked nice. Luckily it was the two i most wanted and cant get locally. Vietnamese Coriander, Rosemary, 1 spicy bell above them and 2 Joes long cayenne below.

Great looking starts. are they outside for the
season now? How far until plant-out?

I put several in pots today. I will put one more out later. Started to get a little warm after i got all the pots "dressed" with fresh compost, aged pine fines, rice hulls and Happy Frog. Rain on the way for the next few days too. Some of it heavy. 86F feels hot when most days sofar have not broke 70F so im still getting used to it. Maters are all in there spots too. Raised bed has been ready for several weeks.

Planted today
6 maters
Rest of the herbs except some basil.
1 Aji Amarillo
1 Spicy Bell (Antep Aci Dolma)
2 Joes Long Cayenne
2 Aji Oro...Got one more that is finally taking off under lights i need to bring up too.
1 NuMex OS...Thanks again Lewis...Mucho Nacho are no where to be found this year. Bonnie could not get the seeds.

Got around 40 total plus or minus including a few extras. A few are offered up locally. Got one guy who has some Genovese basil seedlings to trade. He just wanted a Orange Spice but im trying to pawn off one of the nicer extra Scorpions too

Trading a few extras today for Genovese basil, Aton basil and Emily. Pops wanted normal basil to make pasta sauce and pesto. I planted Lime, Siam Queen and Cinnamon. I love the Siam Queen. Very strong Thai variety. I managed to off load a sweet little Scorpion, huge Aji Panca, huge Orange Spice and a Antep Aci Dolma. I gave him an Antep last year but that was the fubar which ended up being Tekne Domasi and he loved them.

Looks like my runt AJi Oro is gunna make it. The Oro are all loving the very cool nights even with all the rain. The others are not digging it much. They are hanging in there but slow. Rocotos just dont mind it at all. We got 1 more cold night in the forecast. Supposed to get down into the upper 30s so im gunna hold back a couple plants just to be safe.

My other extra late Scorpion looks so nice im gunna try an experiment. Ive got a smaller pot around 1-2gal. Im going to fill it with Just Natural brand mushroom compost. It did it one year with a habanero and it grew like mad. Im going to feed it nothing but DynaGro Foliage Pro 9-3-6 and a little more calcium using calcium acetate tablets. Ive heard so many times how you cant use just compost in pots but ive done it before with the same product. That plant cranked out pods. I just had to water it daily in the peak of the summer so it will get rain barrel water and a weaker DynaGro solution often.

BTW, Bulk Supplements sells calcium acetate and citrate powder. Under $25/kg. Sure beats the hell out of CalMag price wise.
