Texas Twinkies

Made some breakfast chops and shrimp last night.
I was just trying to make some room in the freezer and see what all was in there. I kinda over heated the shrimp, or they had just been in the freezer too long.

What's a coconut shrimp anyway? I kinda thought that's what they called these breaded butterflied out shrimp at Ruth's Chris, those things were amazing whatever they were

As you guys know, I'm kind of addicted to typing weber into Craigslist. Few local results are found lol. So I drove to kc for an 18 inch weber smokey mountain for 50 bucks. I will post some pics tomorrow. I also grabbed this Smokey Joe and a little cooler for 4 dollars that I have been seeing on there.

And I took the kids to Krispy kreme, and let them see the doughnuts getting made. Had a good time

From a real cop, to re-enforce the stereotype, Krispy Kreme rocks! Just saying... "hot now."  I'm with the kids... a thing of beauty... Watching them get covered in the glaze... a feat to behold.

My son though... He's had too many doughnuts from the shop his grandma works at, so he didn't like the Krispy kreme. Oh well. I could eat about a dozen

Went the way of Texas Twinkies, but so the better half would like them, I used Poblanos, and pimento spread, sirloin from the day before.  Larger than you would think, but still good.  I'd prefer more heat, but didn't want to fry the spouse on Mother's Day.  I'll have plenty of opportunities to screw up later this year.

Its a pretty rare "C Code" 14" weber smokey mountain(1981). That was the first year they were sold, there are a few "B Code" out there, I just dont think they were sold until 81. It's barely used, even came with the original cookbook!

I absolutely love my WSM. I have the 22inch one, and it is impressive how durable it is, plus how much meat I can squeeze in there for parties and whatnot.

I need a 22 so I can have the goldilocks thing going on! The first 50 dollar one I see is mine lol.

Its crazy how good these things clean up. Weber really knew what they were doing when they made these things.

Take this 1990 Blue One Touch Plus for example
I think it was covered most of its life, its actually in really good shape. When I get the handles sanded and get poly on them it will look really nice.
