I made a cold smoker and have a question.

I have some dried super hot pods.

If I put the dried pods in the cold smoker will they take on the smoke or do I need to smoke the peppers before drying?

It is best to smoke them fresh but they would still take on a little flavor. For more smoke flavor you could re-hydrate them by throwing them in some water overnight then smoke and dehydrate again.
