So Cal Heat

Am I the only one feeling the heat in Southern California? Specifically the Inland Empire? For the month of May I swear it was hotter than it’s ever been. I can only work on the property until about 11 am and have to come in to an AC room. Even at 85 in the shade it feels like 100+ degrees. Plants that are not under shade cloth are already burning up.

Am I just getting older and more heat sensitive or is it really getting that hot. I can still go to Arizona and it is 100 degrees and I’m fine. There is something about this So Cal heat that is smothering me. I feel like I’m burning from the inside out. Can’t wait until we get to July and August.  :fireball:

We're looking at a heck of a heat wave here in Aridzona.  Tomorrow's forecast calls for ~110 here in Hell Tucson.

I think I'm going to have to bring the peppers that are still in plastic containers inside Monday and Tuesday.
The bigger plants, growing in wally-bags enjoy much cooler soil temps, but even then I wonder if 110 in full shade (anything less would fry the plants in a heartbeat) might be too much for the stems, leaves, and young fruit.
