event So, who's going to the Fiery Food show this year?

I had a great time at the FFS last year, especially going to the balcony and watching the poor souls that the Creator did in. There he is dragging on a cigarette, grinning like a Cheshire cat and enjoying the upheavel from his lil' innocent toothpicks. I wish I could go again, but money is tighter than IGG at a Microbrewery.

I plan on going to the Weekend of Fire, and will do my darnest to make the Zestfest in Texas this year. I never been to TX, so I really want to go.

Anyone on US east coast that wants to take a trip with me to the Columbus, OH North Market Show held by CaJohn Feb 21. There is a chili cookoff, a wing eating challenge, spicy cooking demos and some hot sauce vendors. I want to go, but my friend can't go this year and paying the gas and hotel bills solo makes it tough to do. I came in 2nd place last year in the chili cookoff and I want to try for 1st this year. I live in Leesburg, VA and would drive the trip if someone wants to meet up.

Most definitely. It was our first time doing Zest Fest, and we had a ball. It's also a LOT less expensive than the Fiery Food show considering freight, airfare, etc.

I am/was planning on going until I learned that its not that big and that there will only be CaJohn's as a feiry food vendor. But since the outlaws are in Columbus, we may make a weekend of it.

As for the FFS... we will see. I know it takes money to make money...but I heard a good copier works just as well!

Cool, let me know if you will be there, and I will introduce you to some of the other people like CaJohn if I am there. I am still 50/50 on it right now. I am looking to find someone to share the ride and hotel. I really want to enter the chili competition again, plus now they have an amateur wing sauce contest that I might try a crack at. I was thinking of just relabeling Defcon's bottle and call it Theftcon. :P

Hope the hotel in New Mexico is more BEER friendly than last year!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be talking about the vendors. There was beer being sold all over the place last year. I actually saw two more beer stations than in previous years.

However, there are ways.... Get yourself one of those travel mugs with the lid....I use 'em for coffee when going to work. Most of those will hold an entire beer and no one can see the contents of your mug.

I just filled my backpack up with them and walked on in.
