How ya been?


Me? Busy, but I got a really good raise out of it. And then my computer went all wonky. And then the catalogs started arriving and I..I..um, well I might have fondled a few.

Early tomatoes are planted, and I'm going to try and grow beets this year, but I'll direct sow those.

So, seriously, how ya been?

Woohoo! Girl we missed you here! 'Thangs are groovy and life is good. As you check out the threads and posts you will find not much has changed...we're still a bunch of pepper miscreants and flakes. Hope you can stick around.

yea, several month long posting breaks can happen... a coupla times... and probably one more time around march or so...
also they're not kidding about igg. you're the only one who can reign him in...
 
Hi Pam,

going well, have learnt alot about growing chillis this past season, but at least most of em are still alive!

Am planning on putting some seedlings in a coco/worm castings mix and will see how that goes.

How is your over wintering tunnel holding up?

I got some cow pots, made from cow manure, to try this spring. They're pricey, so I didn't get a lot, but I wanted to try them.

Last year it was great! This year, not so much. We had the coldest November in the last 30 or 40 years, set several new record lows. I decided it would be too expensive if I had to start heating the hoop house that early in the season, so I let the plants go. It was brutal, I had the most magnificent Pilange pepper that I overwintered last year. It never had less than 150 peppers at a time this summer. *heavy sigh* Just couldn't justify running a heater for 4 or 5 months to keep it alive.

Of course, now we're having 60F and 70F degree weather. *harumph!*

PAM!!! It is so great to see you on here again. :) I have been having a hard time keeping up around here and tonight was the first I've logged on in about a month, I think. I've missed you and feel the need to thank you for your advise and wisdom last year, it all really paid off and I had a great first year. Now, I'm looking forward to this year and I'm planning on doing some things differently along with keeping some the same. Glad to hear that you're doing okay. ;)
