Hard Lesson, dont do two things at once when making Soap LOL
While mixing, I left it for a while for mixer motor to cool down, did some weed wacking in the Garden.
Got back and it was frothing and hardened up. SO had to shovel and press into molds.

Hi

I ended up making my own soap after I bought a bar of "The Grandpa soap company" Pine tar soap for my whiskers and loved it 😎 but at in excess of £8/$10.50 a bar in the UK ............🤬

And me being of the opinion I can make most things and better and higher quality than commercial...........lead me in a soap making journey 🤓😎

I only make "two" soaps ........Pine tar 😍 and a hard shaving soap for my baldy napper  last batch of shaving soap a made two years ago ! On my last bar just made a new batch.

Pine tar is my go to i sell alot to friends relatives who love it 😎 It's an all in one great for skin issues, the only soap one should use on there whiskers and great substitute for shampoo and it's the best anti dandruff thing about

My daughters and the friends say its amazing for shavings your leg's........I wouldn't know about that ! 🤔

My original Pine tar was a vegan recipe recently made a non vegan recipe which I think produces a superior lather , and as carnivore and hunter 😁 I don't mind anyway.

Sheesh, i missed this awesome thread!

I have about 50 lavender plants and used to harvest and distill for the lavender oil. Made soap for quite a few years. Packaged some for sale at the FM and would send a couple bars to the FIL for Christmas.

Fast forward years, Pops passed away, we are going thru things.... and there are at least a dozen bars of lavender soap...

🤷

It is not for everyone. Oh well. I like it~

Good looking bars from both.

PS- new soap idea for a new scrubber soap bar...

Use the dehydrated tailings of a sauce production for a scrubber soap bar. Better than a loofah ;)
