Being in Argentina, are you able you find & buy many varieties of Ajis, wild & cultivated?
Yes here we have a lot. In the central market in the city of Mendoza there are fruits and vegetables from all over. You can even buy coca leaf there for tea or to chew. Here there is only one indigenous aji. C. chacoense. Grows everywhere under shade trees
Variety of peppers nd chillis.

Yes after our winter in the spring (September) I believe Iwill transplant new seedlings. Here I have some plants that are now more thsn six years old. They grow outside and are now big enough to use for shade. The hailstorms keep kleaning them off and pruning them down but they are now in the autum loaded with fruits and flowers. Three years ago our sheep ate them down to the ground but they keep going. It does not get very cold here.

Sounds like a great place to grow poppers. What are some of your favorites?
I like many different peppers from Jalapeños to Scotch Bonnets.

I have only a few kinds and only started getting interested in the world of peppers this year. I was unaware that there are thousants more crazy folks like me and now I would love to try the more famous ones.
I need to get hold of seeds, but our economy in Argentina is just starting to return to a normal direction now where we can import stuff. Comunism stinks, but now we have a good gov again.
I like Piri piri and Tabasco. Also Jalapeños, but I like them all. I make sauces (sweet and sour) and picles as well as fermented.
What do you plant?
