How Hot Are Jalapeño Peppers: 9 Types
Jalapeño pepper has three levels of hot and spice, measured by the Scoville scale (SHU). Mild, Medium & Hot. Jalapeño peppers are one of the most commonly used chiles in Mexican cooking and are also popular all over the world.www.butter-n-thyme.com
???"For reference, cayenne peppers only have 15,000 to 25,000 Scoville heat units (SHUs)"
That's pretty hot for a jalapeno.Nothing compared to the Rayado Jalapeño. It must be close to 75,000 SHUs.
My favorite peppers are Scotch Bonnets & they are very hot & fruity. That's pretty hot for a jalapeno.
