i too am glad to hear the good news but keep a close eye on him for the next couple of days, it is not so much about the cranium plate but that soft sponge called the brain that is so hard to detect for injury - even years later.
this gives me a good opportunity when i tuck my girls into bed tonight, to tell them a story of a friend who had a close call with his son today and how frightened that family was and they need to make extra efforts. here it is the ice that builds up on the sidewalks, roads and lanes and kids that think they need to wear winter boots or toques to protect themselves from slips and falls. you even see folks riding bikes on the roads and not wearing helmets - ya, riding bikes in -10C weather on icy roads.
