Sophomore grow 2014

I will try to keep this updated once a week.My first season was a lot of trial and error. If I had a problem I came directly to the HP for advice to solve plant issues and what to do with the pods harvested, for that I thank you all.I still was not confident I could start from seeds so along with the plants in my closet I will be getting a few from Chillyplants. They sent some very very healthy peppers to me last spring.I also overwintered 6 plants from 2013,3 went to pepper Heaven.

Could not close 2013 without showing my wall of shame,or fame.We will find out when all my fermenting jars get turned into sauce. ;)

I've done that to my wife before.  She was not happy about it at all!  She made me promise that If I touch her with spicy hands again, she gets to do it to me...

Off plant topic, tonight my youngest graduated with honors from her college. As a single dad who raised a couple good kids,I could not be prouder at this moment. It's almost like were the hell did the time go.I think I will just kick back a moment throw back a tall one and enjoy what was and what is still to be.
My crappy picture taking strikes again. All my pics she has red eye,(which I will have her fix for me) ;)
she is on the left with the yellow thingy..

Thanks for stopping by Rick.I am going to give away some to the Members.Kind of pay it foward, after receiving some freebies from Scott when mine were not ready.I also will be fermenting a bunch and freezing some down so during the winter I can still play with the sauces.I would like to work more of them into my homemade stuffed sausages without overdoing it.

Garden looks top notch Randy and those pods look evil .

Smart man to give away some and let somebody else feel the pain  ;)

Thanks for you stopping in and giving me some props Jamie. This is the wildest summer I can ever remember.Lots of rain when needed and we only got in the 90's a couple times.80 degree weather with a good dew point turned the plants into monsters,I avoided severe weather also. This year is going to be hard to top for this gardener.

Got the water heater installed no cold shower tonight! The yellow morugas were the 1rst to go fully ripe last year and did the same this year.I planted more of them because they are not only pretty in the garden, but I want to move to a yellow sauce this winter. The darn things have great flavor but not throat burn tendencies.

everyone have a great weekend, school is on the way..(and snow)

Pods continue to look great. That yellow moruga plant is loaded with pods. I agree with you about the weather being ideal this year. We really have been lucky so far.
