food Spicy Fall Dishes

Here's one I'm doing today.(in progress) What is it? Hellifiknow!! I'd call it a pot-roast.....some would call it a stew.

I call it damned delicious!

Here is today's lineup:

I got most of these ingredients from the grocery on the discount (must sell) racks. Thus, I put this together for pennies on the dollar.


By the way....that's just SOME of the pure habanero powder I've done this year.

Thick sliced Wright bacon......cut into a heavy dice:

While the bacon cooks, let's slice up and season the roast:

Beef goes into the really hot bacon fat to brown on all sides:

Onion....a healthy, thick dice:

Lastly, the garlic.....about 5 good size cloves:

Add all the liquid....(plus one beer) to the pot....and every damn thing else:

Stir a good bit, mmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm ( I love Carl Childers!)......and forget it on high for 4-5 hours:

Then, in about 10 minutes......plate it up....and top it with hab powder, hab slivvers, and the crispy bacon:

THIS is a perfect fall spicy meal. :clap:
 
First off Paulky, you cheated using the McCormick seasonings. Second, Keystone rocks. And third, German Pot Salad is awwwweeeesssssoooommmmmeeeeee.

Yeah....there's a few shakes of the "Italian Seasoning" in there.....but the other bottle marked "Biohazard" is 100% dried and powdered orange habanero from my garden. :dance:
 
Probably everyone's got some version of this, but here's mine:

Brown chicken breast cutlets....

"List" of additional ingreds (but forgot the two peppers in the pic. :( Also diced poblano and something I think was a cubanelle)....

Add the peppers and seasoning - lots of garlic, cumin, and cayenne...

Package of baby bellas (yeah, I know I lost some of you here)....

Stir in can of cream of mushroom soup first thinned with half a can of water....

Bring to a boil, then cover and let simmer about 10 minutes. This is after the simmer....

Serve over noodles with side of veggies...

Done! Not fancy, but good and spicy, and quick for a during-the-work-week meal. Tonight, served with the last glass of Jacob's Creek Moscato (sorry, not in pic!)

Now 'scuse me while I go eat!

geeme that looks slammin! I love thick white sauces (get your mind outta the gutter)... and my second fav food is broc...you made one of my fav dishes! wooo !

and paully, I like how every shot there is a couple empty cans of beer added lol
