Spicy Meatball Sandwiches (w/ 7 Pot Douglahs)


INGREDIENTS
-2 large Eggs
-1/4 teaspoon Salt
-1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
-1/2 teaspoon Sweet Basil
-1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
-1/2 of a large Purple Onion (finely chopped)
-FIVE 7 Pot Douglahs (de-seeded and diced)
-1 1/2 pounds of Lean Ground Beef
-3/4 pound of Hot Italian Sausage
-3/4 cup of Plain Bread Crumbs
-1/2 cup of grated Parmesan Cheese
-2 jars of Spaghetti Sauce
-6-8 Sandwich Rolls (toasted)
-Slices of Provolone Cheese (as desired)

DIRECTIONS
1.) In a small bowl, mix egg, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and sweet basil. Set aside.
2.) In a large mixing bowl, mix ground beef, hot sausage, onion, hot peppers, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese thoroughly. Make sure to wear gloves.
3.) Add egg and seasoning mixture to bowl. Mix thoroughly.
4.) Shape mixture to 1 inch sized meatballs. Place on wax paper.
5.) In a large skillet, brown meatballs while turning them constantly. Drain thoroughly and transfer to crock pot.
6.) Pour spaghetti sauce over meatballs, cover, and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
7.) On a toasted roll, place 4-5 meatballs, top with sauce, add provolone cheese, and enjoy the burn! Serves 6-8.

Ahem, that's a spicy meatball. I'll point out that this recipe is for 6-8. If you have 7 friends over for dinner that can take that kind of heat, you probably met them here. Looks good, keep posting the vids.
