So, I need to know for reasons yet to be revealed, with regard to the three common eating utensils, what would you call the tips of each? Forks, spoons and knives all have a component which can be manipulated easily, but each has a unique tip. So, what I NEED to know is, what is the tip of a spoon called?
 
Not sure what your talking about with the spoon. I can tell you, a carving or bbq tool with only two prongs is known as a tuke. And if you ever come across a fork with three prongs its known as a threek.
Thats all I got.
 
(and dont even get me started on the oxymoron of the utensil world. The EVIL SPORK!)

The part you hold with your hand/paw is common. The part that transports matter from your bowl or plate to your mouth or the part that cuts up the matter that is going to be transported from your bowl or plate to your mouth is the unique part, or the tip.
 
LOL...All I need, is a some what sharp poking stick. I call the tip the pokey part.  LOL
 
and i dont know what hell you think your gonna cut with that FOIL knife up there. LOL

Back in the old age,when I was a kid, "Get your Grubby paws/claws off my stuff" was a common thing to say at times.
 
Being a product of growing up in the 60's,I was just speculating on what the reason for the original post was. ..

I think it was 88' or early 89' playin' at the Pike Place Market, Seattle.
 
Artis would show up on saturday and whoop out the spoons.
 
Usually with somebody else playin' guitar.
 
They'd pass the hat and clean up.
 
Sucked to be the guy playin' in his spot after they split.
 
It was me on more than one occasion.
