food STEAK!!

I have never been happier than RIGHT NOW to have a full stock, with a pair of boxes in transit ...

I want to see some heritage Boom in the TD, if it's possible and you feel up to the challenge ;)

'bout to show my little modernist oven steak in a minute, too ...

pre-seared frozen flatiron oven steak madness ...

Loving this journey ...

I'm getting seriously good results from seriously inexpensive meat right now ...

The built-in portion control is diet-friendly, too ...

From the freezer to my pie-hole without ANY real effort whatsoever, tonight ...

This process will become a diet staple.

Hanger steak I think, cost a small fortune usually and sells out everywhere

Yup, here too ... available right now ...

I was tempted to not get the schmancy brisket for the TD and instead check out one of those deckle steaks, but then I remembered that I already told my madre that we'd be having brisket that weekend and to plan to come over ...

So, maybe they'll still be there in a while ... but I doubt it ...

not to be a smart ass or anything but  109 $ for a 18 oz deckle steak??   buy the whole boneless  6.5lb   prime rib from them for  166$  ,seam butcher the deckle off for you deckle steak ,  and  you will still have about 5 + lbs of a wicked eye roast , for 57 $ more.

Just saw that Tommahawk.. Awesome.

Couldn't agree more. I did, in fact, buy the 6.5 lb roast!

Very nice Boom! Great looking fresh meat you have there. Awesome marbling.

GM needs to be banned from this thread for posting frozen blowtorched oven steak..hahaha

I don't know what you think a $12 flatiron steak deserves at 2AM on a Thu night, but it's different than what I'm willing to give it, lol ...

WoW! I have never seen surf n turf presented like that. I should name a surf n turf TD right now, and just hand the crown over. Is everyone okay with that?

I see the butter. Methinks a béarnaise sauce would have set it off!!!

No, we have a very fancy surf and turf posted before in a TD that won a TD ;)

For *me* ... I'd prefer the saltwater stuff not be on my beef ...

Side by side, please ... if we're nit-picking, because I'd Chairman Mao that TB style ...

I don't mean fancy, that is simple and rustic, a dinosaur steak cooked perfectly and two prehistoric prawns, and the presentation is just wow. I don't care if you eat it on the side that looks amazing!

Fancy plah!

Wow factor 10++++

It does look great and I agree mine was an appetizer as well. :) It would probably go for $30+ in NYC lol.

I want to talk shit about the seafoul on the beef, but I'm planning to wipe a thin layer of Red Boat on one in the very near future, so I'll save myself the taste of foot down the road ...
