I've always wanted a copper frypan/skillet so when I upgraded the kitchen a few weeks ago with all new allclad I broke down and bought the mauviel 10.25" copper skillet with solid brass handle. I almost got the CI handle but with a discount code I was able to pick up the brass handle version for $150 with free shipping, which imo is a steal. As for the pan, I didn't end up w/ one (ended up w/ a larger All Clad for Danielle because she said she fights to keep the taco meat inside the frying pan), but I seem to recall spending half and evening poking around eGullet trying to see if folks preferred the SS or CI handle for one while I was pre-gaming Christmas shopping ...
