That sear!

Never seen venison look so good. You got a nice seasoned crust look there. Fatalii flakes are a great garnish as well, love that color/look.

I have but they didn't call to me like this. That perfect sear into a seasoned crust, and the golden flakes setting it off. I just searched some of JHP's and saw his blackened venison, and the stir fry. Not as good a sear on the blackened, and no sear on the stir fry. Hey, you asked! LOL!

     Wow, thanks guys! Jay, they weren't hot at all. But that bright fatalii flavor did complement the flavor of the chops better than I imagined it would. Highly recommended!

     Holy crap. Am I understanding this correctly? Did I just outcook Joyner? And with VENISON, nonetheless?!    :shh:   I can't take all the credit, though. My brother shot the deer. But I did help butcher it.
     Next time I do this, I'll make sure to post pics of the process. Full disclosure and all. It might be difficult with such a short cooking time, but youz guys are worth it!

Venison chops (with a dusting of fatalii flakes), baked wild rice with portabellas and shiitakes, and seared brussels sprouts with garlic and lemon.

     I seared the chops outside on my CI flat top atop my badass canning stove. I let them cook for about 45 seconds per side. Loving the product of the contact between tasty meat and 600o cast iron is just part of being human.
Very nice, glad to see someone else posting game....reminds me I have a damn thread for that and I forget to post my own stuff in there hahahah

Don't listen to him, he directly said he didn't like your venison near as much as Hybrids.  I personally love them both.

Confession....I've never had it :shocked: I have no aversion to it, It's just one of those foods I've never had the chance to try for some reason.
