Straight Outta Compton

NWA always had the most ridiculous little sound bytes at the ends of their tunes/albums. Some of it was pretty damned funny.

Won't go see it though. I'll wait on the free version. I'm not interested in lining Dre's pockets any more.

Dre is donating all the royalties from his new album to go to building a community center. I forget what city.

So how was it?
Overall I thought thought it was pretty good.Because it gave you a glimpse of NWA'S experience as they saw and lived it.However what I did not like and the the reason I rate the film a 3 on a scale from 1 to 10(10 being the best) is because there was no mention of Easy E. and his last CD 187 em.

I was wondering how true the movie would be. Eazy E is dead. MC Ren I know spoke out against the movie at one point recently. Idk how much, or if at all, Yella was involved. This is an Ice Cube project, and he was able to get Dre on board. How much of the story is what Cube and Dre want you to know, or think even? That's what made me a skeptic. I was also wondering how much other notable people around NWA would be present in the movie. Would ppl like DJ Quik or Bone be mentioned? Above the law? JJ Fad? The Lench Mob? Arabian Prince? AP was an original member, would they tell the real story of how he left? What about Dre and WCWC? Dre and Dee Barnes, Michel'le?

Guess Ill see for myself on Tuesday dollar day next week.

Edit:Why not at least give Lil Eazy a supporting role somewhere? I know he was a little too hefty to play pops, but damn, his dad is the whole reason any of them even exist( in a cultural sense) imo.

A whole lot is left out.I don't want to spoil the movie for you but too many people left out a lot of truths left out so without a doubt not a complete story.Suspiciously Easy's last CD left out that was the back breaker for me.Not only was it was it controversial it also stirred the pot so to speak and continued the divide amongst these guys.It also included some of Easy's best work as a rapper in my opinion .
