Straight Talk

my mom and sister use it and like it.  Never heard them having any issues with it but that's about all I know.

I've been using straight talk for couple years & think its the best move I made switching to straight talk.
though theres some things to consider first before you make the switch...

--customer service is basically NONE!! their people support are in india.

--you can keep your same cell number, though keep the booklet the phone comes with phone ID number incase you switch phones/upgrade later to another straight talk phone. it makes it ALOT easier to deal with them & then remember zip codes of your area code number by chance you fell under some kind of rezoning phone numbers with different area codes or move (so you can keep same number) if not the last part don't apply to you.

--theres the basic cell service towers that run on a certain band then theres a band that smart phones run on. (CDMA is one of them though forget if that's for smart or dumb cells?) you may get better cell talk coverage with the dumb ones vs smart in some locations, though smart phones still work you just need to find that sweet spot for signal.

--straight talk runs off mostly Verizon towers, then AT&T, & sprint (which sprint sucks!) pay attention to which pnone you buy as to which company towers they use for which company has better reception for the location you use it in.  if I remember right Iphones are on verizion....some Samsung phones are on verizion though the galaxy 3 is sprint..
look at the box on front corner (?) if you see CDMA (or CDA ?) dash---V,A,S----V=verizion...A= AT&T...S=sprint...like CDMA-V = verizion towers.

--$45 for unlimted talk, text, & to a point of their set limits of internet use though they say unlimited(its not) but if you're a casual internet user on your cell you'll be fine. I go online everyday with mine checking weather, news, forums.
Iits $45 vs $100+  for everything...you can complain about some things but can you truly complain about price when you're treated almost the same with other companies with their package deals they offer but price is different.

--phone selction is limited, heard bringing in your own unlocked phone is kinda iffy, some say it works while too many say bringing in your own unlocked phone doesn't work that great w/o too many headaches & then having to deal with their people support or it doesn't work at all.
you basically pay full price for the phone though their monthly cost savings in the long run is cheaper than dealing with companies and their 2 yr contract...F them! on their half off phone but rape you on monthly service fees.
