Strawberry Habanero Sauce

I have been wanting to make a strawberry sauce for a while and last night i finally made some!

Strawberries
Orange Habs (didn't have any red type)
Red wine vinegar
Brown cane sugar (just a little)
Lime juice (for PH adjustments)

I cooked the strawberries and habs together before blending, then after blending.. I cooked again..
Pretty Simple and Pretty Awesome!!

Looks tasty , guess it's pretty hot with the lovely habanero heat.Never thought about using strawberries, fantastic colour too. Got to wait for my habs to fruit, hell of job trying to find them fresh in the UK.

Looks good, I think that is the perfect choice of vinegar for that sauce. Too bad we can't taste some lol

Is it just me or do those habs look more shiny than usual? They look as though they have been sprayed with wax similar to how they spray fruits and vegetables.

I think thats because they are wet, these are home grown.

Home grown are the best. Nice sauce. Try strawbs in BBQ sauce, but not too much, just as the sweetener, it works. Adds sweetness, flavor, and a touch of tartness.

We must think alike... I made some Strawberry-Thai sauce on Sunday. Minus the brown sugar and the lime juice and add a few spices, ours are almost the same sauce!

If yours tastes anything like mine, it's awesome on ice cream. Or pork loin. Or pan fried chicken breast. Or in a spoon.
