Sunday, August 21st - Will you drink with me?

These last three or so years have been hell both financially and physically.  Have lost parts of my feet, been stuck in the hospital more times than I can count.  I feel like I am finally clawing my way out of it.  If you are a patron of Peppers by Mail, thank you so very much for helping.  Our farm used to be focused on farmers markets and things of that nature.  But about three years ago, I started having routine surgery on my fee that made it impossible to load, unload, load, and unload our truck and trailer each weekend.  Daughter said I should start an online store.  I thought she was nuts.  Started the online store from a hospital bed while on morphine drip. 

I think I found this place during my second season online.  Could have been last year.  The years just sort of pass me and I think in terms of growing season these days.  Anyway, found the place while again in the hospital and again on morphine drip.  Made a fool out of myself, got sent to the time out room.  But came back and made some great friends.  I really do love it here at THP except for one little thing, the chat room is gone.
 
Not complaining really.  Just looking for an alternative and people to chat with me this coming Sunday, my 51st birthday.  I've made so many friends here.  Most of them seem to like drinking.  Thought it would give me something to do, good people to talk with.

So I am thinking Facebook chat?  Maybe 8 PM EST.  My facebook name is the same: A.J. Drew.  You could fine and friend me ahead of time.  If there is an alternative chat idea, please let me know. 

Would be flattered if Pookie could join me. Am I allowed to call him Pookie yet?  What ever you want me to call you, thank you so much for this kick ass community.  The things that go on behind the forum, people helping each other, is amazing.
 
So where do we chat?  Should I just sign in to Facebook, start a chat and then add people as they say hi?  On drinking, I make a lot of jokes but it is fairly rare I drink more than a couple biers.  Morphine is so much better.  See there, that was one of the jokes.

After i got put in time out, I read some of my posts.  ADD?  Oh man I was stoned immaculate.  Have had other hospital stays since then and never do I bring my lap top.  Gotta warn you though, I am probably going back in after first frost and need the lap top to get work done.  I know I will wind up here talking about the nurses.

Seriously, been there so often that I sometimes deliver produce to the nurse and tech staff on floors where I've stayed.  Its kind of like tipping, you get much better service the next time you sit at the same table.

I think you should stay here and take advantage of your right to blow your status the frig uP. Turn it into a chat. That way you know the Pookafied one will be there, its pretty fast and I've seen it happen before. Just a thought? I prolly wont see ya on the FB but I will if you do something here.

Ye but if I get drunk here I might wind up in time out.  On facebook, that doesnt happen unless you post a picture of boobs.
