Hi all
My name's Adam, I'm a 25 year old environmental scientist from Auckland, New Zealand and my nickname is Chilli - not because of one of my chosen plants to grow but a long succession and evolution of nicknames
I do, however, grow chillis. Well, I should say this is my first time growing anything whatsoever and since I don't do anything by halves, my current chilli collection is as follows:
1 x cheyenne
3 x jalapeno
1 x serrano
1 x wildfire
14 x red habanero
1 x habanero black stinger
1 x habanero Gambia
1 x Trinidad scorpion
1 x Trinidad 7 Pot Jonah
1 x red rocotto
10 x bhut jolokia
3 x Thai bird's eye
Haha, I think a nice newbie collection
Once upon a time, around 3-4 years ago I thought that jalapenos were nasty and when my girlfriend's Dad grew some scotch bonnets.. I progressed to chucking a scotch in my curry, in my salsa, nachos.. Anything!
Natural progression from that is to sprout many branches and grow as many as possible.
The rest of my garden is tomatoes, beans, courgettes, cucumbers, eggplants, annuums, herbs, potatoes and heaps of salad greens.
So stoked to have found this site - everyone is sick of me talking about chillis and it's nice to have found some obsessive, compulsive chilli freaks to hang with
Cheers all
