Heres something interesting for those growing this variety. In the photo you can see the counter at Spezzanos butcher shop with the actual Mr. Spezzano on the right (circled).

Also, you can see some dried Thai Orange pods (also circled).

I just ate some of these with food for breakfast. These are the best Thai peppers ever! Great flavor and heat. My plant was super healthy too!! Thanks again!!

I just cut this down tonight before the freeze so I can take the plant to work. Its such a great pepper!

I got a plant sprouted and then realized my potting soil may have been contaminated by some unsprouted seeds, so I was afraid I was raising a cuckoo. That plant has now set fruit to size that appear to be Spezzano.

The plant is 15' to the nearest other pepper, so there is a good chance the seed will be selfed.

I'm still growing my plant at work from 2019. I just ate a thai for lunch and it is still a favorite!!
