I see all sorts mushrooms when I'm out cutting grass and often think I'm mowing over some good shrooms. Maybe, I'll start documenting the varieties I come across. Interested to know the benefits, if any of the mushrooms that grow my area. D3 you might be the most interesting man on this forum.

these are Italian oyster mushroom bags. I like the Italian oysters the best they are really large bodied and meaty almost like a porcini

took about 11 days for these ^ bags to become completely white with mycelium

bad pic ^ but you can see where the red arrow is tiny little bumps that are starting to pin out that will turn into mushrooms in just a couple of days

Any products you would recommend?
stick with FB's program but just for fun - many moons ago (decades) - we used virex and bleach for our process ...

i barely remember, but i helped a friend with this once ...

things have probably come along to improve or simplify the process ...

Very intresting on the mushroom theme .... this time of year in the UK we see the large field mushrooms which are great to eat ... totally agree that a little knowledge can be dangerous as eating the wrong species can be fatal

The Scotch Brain long was it an unintentional cross
