The Dollar Menu Dare!

I think that'd be ok - unlimited H20 but touch your beer or milk and you're out.

Bam!

BTW, the Prince of Wales in San Mateo has a "Red Savina" burger - people who finish it get a shirt, plaque. picture on the wall, etc.

This challenge, if I read the list of peppers correctly, puts that burger to shame. This is going to be heroically unwise. lol

Ps - there MUST be an open, ice cold beer or milk. Part of the torture, of course.

Someone needs to get a hold of the food or travel channel. Epic

I am sure many have seen this quote before. This should make the victims, errrrr, contestants feel at ease, since they are no where near this threshold.

Paul Bosland, professor of horticulture at New Mexico State University and director of the Chile Pepper Institute on the matter:

"Theoretically, one could eat enough really hot chiles to kill you," he says. "A research study in 1980 calculated that three pounds of extreme chilies in powder form — of something like the Bhut Jolokia — eaten all at once could kill a 150-pound person."

Rules

* Each contestent will receive two 1/4 oz bags of superhot powder.

* The bags of powder must be cut open and applied to the burgers on camera.

* One bag for each McDouble.

* Condiments are allowed, as long as everything stays on the burgers.

* The contestents and the burgers must remain on camera at all times during the challenge.

* The 2 burgers must be finished in 10 minutes or less.

* Water is allowed while eating the burgers.

* There will be a 5 minute "afterburn" period after the burgers are consumed where no beverages or other food is allowed.

* The 5 minute "afterburn" period starts as soon as the last bite is swallowed.

* A glass of milk must be present, but touching it is prohibited until the challenge is completed.

* You must attempt the challenge if you accept it. Violators will be hunted down and shot.

* Your video must be posted in this thread before 2/1/13.

* If more than one contestent completes the dare, we will have a 48 hour poll, and a winner will be decided by THP members.

This can't end well.

As far as recruiting more people, how about getting some of the clowns that post youtube videos of eating hot peppers all of the time? I know a few of them are members here, but they probably haven't seen this thread yet. Maybe throw them a PM?

I like it. You need to add the rule for having an ice cold delicious beer or milk sitting there the entire time. Psychologically, this may be the hardest part. lol

yes, but they may certainly wish they were dead.

Not necessarily disqualified, but their attempt at the dare is done if they touch the milk. If every contestent drinks milk before completing the dare, the one that made it the furthest wins.
