The Friend Zone - question(s)?

Hey - wasn't sure where to post this, so I stuck it here. Please feel free to let me know if there is a better sub-forum to post these type of questions. Thank you.
 
Friends (not the TV show). I have my first friend request, which I accepted. So I now see them in my list of friends, but do I need to make a friend request back? Or am I automagically their friend now as well?
 
If I need to friend them back, how? The only button I can find is to unfriend them, which isn't the goal.
 
I tried to search, but found hundreds of threads that had nothing to do with the Friend functions here. As a coworker has repeated told me "No one's brain works like yours."

But thank you everyone. I think I've got it figured out.
 
Funny thing is, when I first read the title, I thought it was you commenting on being put there by a girl you like, but whose feelings aren't mutual :P
 
When someone sends you a Friend Request, once you accept it, you are listed on their  Friends list, and they are listed on your Friends list. 
 
If you want to invite someone to be your friend, click on their name to get to their profile and there's a button to Send A Friend Request.  When they accept the request, it will show on both lists.   
 
 
 
And there are some like me who check Friends about once every 2 months.....so if someone doesn't respond right away.....  :lol:
 
really?!?!???   Now this is scary!..... when Scovie knowing all the ins-n-outs of the social media aspect of THP!  :rofl:
