I did that 8 or so years ago. It's being poked to get it to let go from the paper towel so I could move it to the clean terrarium.

I'd say redtail, but I'm not sure. All the hawk pictures I could find are much younger than that, but they have the same general pattern.

I've been watching this guy and his buddies grow all summer. They hang out a couple miles from our house. If he gets any bigger, I might just have to break down and get a hunting license this fall...

What's this? It lives in bogs, has a single, flat on the ground leaf that looks like a rounded grass blade, and makes a stalk of flowers with three of these on it. Not the thing in the background. I know that's a Sarracenia pitcher plant.
