"The Scovie Chronic-le"

I finally got to meet my family. Just my Mom, 3 brothers and my Uncle Butch this time. We met in Butte MT because it's about half way for us. What a trip. There's 3 more of me! We look alike, sound alike and act exactly the same. 4 smart asses altogether. LOL It was a pretty emotional weekend but what a loving family I have found. I basically won the lottery of families. We'll be going to Salt Lake this summer to the family reunion and that's when I'll get to meet all my sister inlaws, aunts, uncles etc etc etc.

First pic, Me and my Mother Gloria.
Second pic, (L to R) My brother Waylan (49), My brother Trent (51), Matt the tattoo guy in Butte MT, Me (47), and my brother Travis (54). We all got tattoos with all of our signatures.
3rd pic, My uncle Butchs truck and trailer full of Jet fuel, that he drives 600 miles everyday to the AF base in Salt Lake.

     Holy shit. Congratulations!

I know that if I had been separated from my family at birth and then reunited with them 40 years later, we would know we're related too.  My mom and brother and I (and my dad, RIP) are all smartasses who share the same fast, demented sense of humor and way of looking at things.
I can't imagine what was going through your head during your reunion. Have fun with your new mom and brothers!

So happy for you!

PS- post pics of the tats....that's cool!!!

I haven't been on here all that much these last few months, so I missed out on the recent activity in here.  But congrats on reconnecting with your long lost family, Scovie!  I bet it felt pretty damn good to finally meet up with them.

I actually reconnected with my long lost family on my father's side recently as well.  I came across a photo online of someone with my same last name, along with a bald head and a full beard, and I immediately knew that we are related.  And it turns out that we're first cousins.  Now I've been going back and forth with him, other cousins, aunts, and uncles.  I'm even making tentative plans to visit them in South Carolina at some point in the future.

This has been a Godsend Scovie.  I am so happy for you.  You have a beautiful family.  PM me your # again so I can call you when I am at sausage camp again this year.  We need to catch up.
