This one had two webs covering 4 plants and was full after eating so many bad bugs! I do not know the species off-hand. My bug and MACRO knowledge has suffered the last 2 years

Are they some sort of parasitic wasp eggs on the previous 2 catepillar/hornworm shots?
@ND yes.....the during the eating process and after they fed and most hatched and flew away

It's raining here today so I thought I'd resurrect this thread and post a new pic. Here's a nifty little jumping spider for y'all to look at. Don't you just love seeing these guys on the job? Spiders are so amazing.

Interesting critter. Looks like a Plague Soldier Beetle. Pesky, because they appear in huge numbers, but they are beneficial predatory insects according to this article:

The other thing is so well camouflaged, that it's hard to know for sure. Wild guess> False Lichen Spider? Do you know what it is?

Thanks for the info on the Plague Soldier Beetle STH. I seem to get them at this time of year. Not many though, last season I only saw 3-4 of them total, and this is the first this season.
Spider is most likely a "Garden Orb Weaving Spider" same as in post #211.

All these guys are bundled up in their fuzzy webs around here. Whenever I find one in a snow region I put them in a cold room to sleep through the winter. It's gonna be a shitstorm when they wake up though.
