The Messiah Will Come above is my all-time favourite Gary Moore performance, hands down. Saw him while he was in Thin Lizzy in the late `70`s and again solo a few times in the 80`s. Fabulous guitar player.
 
He is playing the `59 Les Paul Peter Green sold him in for around 100 pounds in the very early `70`s. It sold for $1.2 million about 6 or 7 years ago and I believe is up for sale again right now. Anyone got $2 million for a piece of rock and roll history????!???!

While  Gary Moore is known as a Les Paul and humbucker-guitar equipped player, he had a `61 Strat that sounded pretty damn good.
