This is NOT a Jays peach right? Or is it?

This one has been racking my brain all season. I can't figure out what it is. It was labeled as a jays peach ghost Scorpion, but it doesn't look right to me. I was thinking peach bhut, but even that doesn't seem right. Can anyone help?

It has a thin wall and the flavor is citrusy but not quite a habanero. Quite pleasant actually. Just slightly sweet. The heat, well it's not a super hot for certain, if I had to guess, I'd say 300,000 SHU tops.

I dont remember if Jay's Peach Ghost Scorp does this or not, but some of my peaches get kind of orange if they stay too long.  On shape, nearest I can tell is that is the one without the tail.  There seems to be two shapes.  Yours is the most popular I think.  I see it most often.

The shape and texture remind me of Peach Bhut Jolokia, but, I agree the color is more orange than peach.

So, I went out and picked a couple Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpions (left) Bhut Orange Copenhagen (middle) and Peach Bhut Jolokia (right).

The color is a bit washed out with my phone.

OK, found it.  Had to flip threw my notes and make sure I ordered from him.  I did indeed.  First year with his seeds, I got both with tail and without tail.  The without looked like the ones asked about here.  Selected seeds for tail and funky look. This year got all tails an a few with two tails.  Really cool shapes.  All twisted and bumpy.  OK, so looking up what my original vendor said about the tail & it was in fact Jim Duffy.

"It grows into many contorted shapes some having tails. Will also look like an extremely twisted bumpy Ghost chile." - http://www.superhotchiles.com/peachghostgallery.html

That was back when the thing was in its fifth generation and seeds were already being sold.  So my guess is that it still threw the pods with no tails back then and seed folk got ahold of it.  A lot of them like me have a preference for the scary looking pods so they selected for that look.  But something weird happened with this one.  Lots of people dropped the word scorpion from the name and just called it Jays Peach Ghost.  So I am guessing they selected for the non-tail look.

Like Mr. Duffy, Pepper Joe also says some have tails, but shows all with tails - https://pepperjoe.com/products/jays-peach-ghost-scorpion

Hippy Seed is probably the best example.  Partly because the pepper in the back of the picture is relatively smooth, no tail, and a lot like what the pictures in this post look like.  That and they are also a great example because people are chomping at the bit to say yuck to both Mr. Duffy and Pepper Joe for some reason but I have never heard a bad thing about Hippie Seed.  BTW: I have never had a problem with either of these seed folk but I LOVE Hippie Seed,  - https://thehippyseedcompany.com/product/jays-peach-ghost-scorpion/

On the color, again I do not remember if the other shape does the color change right before rotting.  A few peaches do.

Oh please don't bring up smoking it.  I am still in pain after watching the FBI guy burn reapers in his bong.  If I want to have snot running out my nose, puke out my mouth and tears out my eyes I will go to an Antifa protest.

Mine came directly from the source and EVERY single one has a tail. I also have peach ghost from Jim and they look more like the above but peach.
