This made my night

I don't see the big deal, she doesn't know about cars, so? Better pranks out there...

I didn't get that far. Lots of people don't know about cars, so they weren't knee slappers for me.

They said they noticed her lighter was missing, she said I know, they said they would throw one in for free but $70 installation.

Work in the auto industry for 13 years, believe me there are plenty of men that don't know the working end of a screw driver, the funny thing about this prank is that it was done by her father.

This was a scam, the sad part is there really are mechanics who pull this type of crap on women or anyone who doesn't know a lot about cars.

Jackie, you would be surprised how many men get scammed. I have a funny story about my father I'll post later, making nutz right now.

Another sad part of it is the fact that just one or two of these clowns doing this crap is what makes it really tough for the honest mechanics out there......and yes, there are quite a few of us.

About 6 years ago my dad took his car back to the dealer( engine light), the service manager told him a squirrel chewed some wires to a sensor. My dad did not believe him and got into an argument. When he told me I told him that, that is a common problem and that there were TSB's that mention that, and I believe its in the Snap on scanner. He took the car back an apologized.

When I was sixteen and had an old beater the horn quit working and my dad asked me if I checked the horn fluid...
