Throat no longer burns when eating the hot stuff....

Don't worry. With a good layer of scar tissue newly formed on the esophagus, the tongue is next in line ....LOL ...just kidding.

Yea the same varied mix of peppers, all peppers now just mainly get my tongue.

Tolerance builds and possibly parts get "burnt out". I have found sweet foods drop my tolerance quick. 2 days of sweet things and no heat and BAM they hit hard. But everyone is different.

Yea Sicman I haven't been around much of late....the boy and the pepper patch outside make a pretty tiring combo! Anyway I hope you're okay.

as I recall there are 5 capsaicinoids , and my suspicion is that the different pain receptors in your mouth are more sensitive to some than others.
