I think we all are. I must say, though, what a NICE blade in your OJ pic! That thing looks like it could chop up a heck of a lot more than onion. Gotta admit, my sharp-sharps are my favorite kitchen tools!

It is one of the few things in the kitchen that I am totally anal about. That one knife and the cast iron. Bought it when I was 18, paid a bundle for it, and it definitely gets the royal treatment. Love a good blade!

Looking forward to seeing your post - you got time, take the nap! I just took another loaf of bread (not for the entry, and a different kind) out of the oven, and have to finish up an item on the stove and start another in the oven once it's cooled down a bit. Will be up early cookin' again tomorrow - then pics and eat!

Side bar here: My son came into the kitchen shortly after I took the last loaf of bread from the oven tonight. I pointed out that I made an extra loaf for him, since he's such a bread fan and I know company will eat most of it tomorrow. He asked "can I have some now?" I said "I just told you I made it for you - have some when you want." He got out the bread knife, and was starting to slice into it when I turned back to what I was doing. Then I heard "crunch" a little sooner than I expected (it's a crusty bread.) I looked up, and found he had sliced the loaf in two, and was biting right into half of it. We aren't talking about a little 8x4 loaf here - this baby was made in a 5-quart dutch oven. You know how much of that loaf is left tonight? 
Yeah, yeah, I shouldn't be shocked at this point in his life. He's just so damn skinny - where the heck does it all go???

SL's entry was super-impressive, true. But you did an excellent job for someone who's wet behind the ears in the kitchen. Besides, burgers are supposed to be hand-food: is it really a burger if you can't pick it up with both hands and take a big-old bite?

We did pick it up with both hands and chow down on it. SalsaDude had 1/2 and the SalsaKid and I shared the other 1/2.
As I said, I wish I'd taken pictures of our hands and faces when we were done, with all that rum/choc/bhut sauce and melted cheese..... And dipping the fries in a combination of catsup and rum/bhut/bbq sauce.......
