food-bev Throwdown Throne

Congratulations Smoke. Well done. Everyone did a great job. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see what next month will be.
Thanks to everyones kind words as well. I had never made Dim Sum and it was my first Throwdown too so I was a bit nervous about embarrassing myself. It was a great success for me though, and encouraging to try another.

Thanks All!  Making it for the first time was a blast.

Loved your entry Ozzy, and you did yourself proud!  Look forward to you bringing it the next time around ;)

SF - I found myself very curious about two things, re: the shu mai ... but decided against asking during the voting ...

1) were the peas added as an afterthought for increasing the effectiveness of the picture ...
2) how man of the three (peas) did you manage to get into your mouth, using chopsticks - if any ;) ...

I reassured myself that the really, nicely fried variant was fully redeeming ... I'm a sucker for a really nice fry ...

YEAAAAA SSSSMMMMMOOOOOOKKKKKKEEEEEE(nfire)!!!!!
Congrats!!
That is all. Now begins the crown defense and the never-ending quest for more.
Buena Suerte.

Ozzy, congrats are in order for you too. You really did a great job.
Glad you had the balls to jump in the fray!!
You didn't embarrass yourself in the least...in fact, quite the opposite! I was impressed!
Can't wait to see what you come up with next month!

The single pea is a traditional garnish for the steamed dumplings. I've seen it done with carrot slice too, but after I topped each with a pea it looked boom so just click went the pic.  And I dina fuct around w the chopsticks - I just ate em w my hands.  :D
