Glad you went with the oatmeal.
At first, I thought only Guiness could make stout, then I visited a local micro brewery and they make an Oatmeal stout, needless to say I had a chubber and can still remember the flavour. Once and a while I sneek in for a pint to lick the froth from my upper lip.
I made a stout once before, from a kit, can't even remember the brand (it was on sale and me being as cheap as I am, bit). I believe the brand was from the UK but it could have been Australian.
